Happy Easter! There are a TON of egg hunts this weekend, the library has a few fun storytimes, and there is a Food Truck Fest in Westwego if you’re looking for something to do. Here are all the fun things you can do in Jefferson Parish and beyond this weekend: April 4-5, 2026.

Saturday, April 5, 2026

Gretna Farmers Market: 8:30 am – 12:30 am. Huey P Long and Third Street. Get your picture with the Easter Bunny before he hops back home!

German Coast Farmers Market: 8 am – NOON. St. Charles Parish East Bank Regional Library. 198. W. Campus Street, Destrhan. The Easter Bunny will be there for pictures from 9 – 11 am.

Grab and Go Craft: All Day. Ages 4-9 can grab a Hatching Chick Craft to do at home while supplies last at the River Ridge Library.

Hope Haven Egg Hunt: 9 – 11 am. Children ages 11 and under can hunt eggs, and enjoy a petting zoo, party train, bounce houses, and more at 1201 Barataria Blvd., Marrero.

Easter Celebration at Surge: 9 – 11 am. Indoor egg hunt, Easter bunny photos, and more at Surge in Metairie.

Kenner Farmers’ Market: 10 am – 2 pm. Kenner City Park, parking lot.

1,2,3 Count With Me Egg Hunt: 10:30 am. Young Audiences of Louisiana Arts Play at Newcomb Art Museum. Registration Required.

Metairie Baptist Church Eggstraviganza: 10 am – NOON (401 Codifer St., Metairie) Games, snacks, and egg hunts starting at 10:15 am for ages birth to 6th grade.

Easter Bunny at Lakeside Shopping Center: Now through April 4. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm, and Sunday, NOON – 6 pm. Walk-ins welcome, but you can also make reservations. Prices start at $40.45.

Cottontail Trail Train: Now through April 19. Kids can ride the train in the center court for $2 per ride (cash only). Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm, and Sunday, NOON – 6 pm.

Easter Bunny Photos at Clearview City Center: Starting March 21. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny at Clearview City Center (by Walk-Ons). By appointment.

Meet the Easter Bunny: March 20-22, 27-29, and April 2-5 from 10 am – 4:30 pm at the Audubon Zoo or Aquarium. You can purchase professional photos or take your own (photos are included with admission).

Saturday Craft: 10 – 11 am. Children can come make a craft in the Children’s Activity Room at the East Bank Regional Library. First come, first served.

2nd Annual Bunny Brunch: 10 am – 2 pm. All-inclusive egg hunt for children with special needs, including Easter Bunny photos, rides, food, and more at God’s Backyard Park (4027 Palmyra St., New Orleans). FREE but registration required.

Storytime at the WWII Museum: 10 – 10:20 am. Families can celebrate the Month of the Military Child, listen to Maggie the Military Rat, and make military helmets.

King of King Church Easter Bash: 11 am – 4 pm. Egg hunt, games, food, and fun. Lafreniere Park Shelter 6. FREE

Sixth District Easter Egg Hunt: 11 am – 2 pm. Egg hunt, games, free food, and prizes at Coliseum Park (1709 Coliseum St., New Orleans).

Creative Conservation: 11 am. Hands-on crafts and activities, promoting the three Rs, often using up-cycled stuff you probably already have at home, at the Audubon Nature Center.

Family Garden Walks: 11 – 11:45 am. Walk through the gardens with native plant specialist and gardener Chris Booth at Lounge Vue House and Gardens. Included in garden admission.

Story with Craft: 11 am – NOON. Storytime and craft for ages 3-7 at the Gretna Library.

Grace Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt: 11 am – 12:30 pm. Games, food, egg hunt and fun at Parc Des Familles in Marrero.

Emma Brown Reading Program: 12:30 – 1:30. Reading under the oaks with Lady Livingston and musical accomplishment at Lounge Vue House and Gardens. FREE. Registration Required.

Dewey Doables: 1 – 2 pm. Tweens and teens can make a craft at the Lafitte Library.

LEGO Club:  1-3 pm. Ages 6-11 can build LEGO creations at the Rosedale Library

Sensory Saturday: 2 – 3 pm. Engaging program designed for all ages and abilities at the Westbank Regional Library.

Spring Food Truck Fest: 2 – 6 pm at Catfish Bourgeois Park, 909 Avenue C, Westwego.

Easter Outreach: 4-6 pm. Food, games, egg hunt, and more at Cross Community Church, 3233 Ames Blvd., Marrero.

Hop-A-Trunk: 5 – 8 pm. Safe alternative to a traditional egg hunt (think trunk or treat but Easter) after the 5 pm service at Celebration Church, 1915 Airline Drive.

FREE Family Sunday: 8 am – 5pm. Free gardens admission for Louisiana redisdents at Lounge Vue House and Gardens. Registration required.

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt: 9 am. All children are welcomed at Gretna United Methodist Church (1309 Whitney Ave, Gretna). Free

Easter Kid Fest: 10 am. Druring Easter Service families can have Easter fun with a petting zoo, egg dying station, egg hunt, Easter Chacters and more at Victory Church.

Easter Brunch at Marche: 11 am – 3 pm. Enjoy Easter morning with an elegant brunch in the French Quarter, including mimosas, food, kids’ activities, bunny photo op, and more. Prices start at $36.06.

41st Annual Easter Parade: 1 pm. The annual parade will roll through the French Quarter honoring Chris Owens on Easter Day.
