Easter Celebration at Surge: 9 – 11 am. Indoor egg hunt, Easter bunny photos, and more at Surge in Metairie.

Sugar Roots Farm Spring Festival: March 28 and 29 from 9:30 am – 2 pm. Egg hunts, bunny pictures, pony rides, and more. Tickets are $15.60 for adults and $10.40 for children.

Bubblegum Tree Playhouse Egg Hunt: March 28 from 9:30 – 11 am. Egg hunt, coloring pages, bubbles, treats, and fun. Tickets are per $23 child.

Tea with the Bunny: March 28, at 10 am. Refreshments, games, egg hunt, and Easter Bunny pictures at Kenner Pavilion (3800 Loyola Dr). FREE. Registration required.

St. Matthew UMC Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt: March 28 from 10 am – 2 pm (6017 Camphor St., Metairie). Egg hunts start at 10:45 am. Bring a dog toy for the puppies at Metairie Humane Shelter.

Westbank Community Book Swap: 10 am – 2 pm. Bring any gently used books to swap and take up to three books, even if you don’t bring any, to the Jules Nunez Seafood Pavilion in Lafitte.

Jean Lafitte Town Market: 10 am – 2 pm. Pictures with the Easter Bunny, egg hunt, and more at 920 Jean Lafitte Blvd., Lafitte.

STEM Fest with the Saints and Pelicans: 10 am – 2 pm. Live performances, interactive deminstrations and Saints and Pelicans activities for kids in grades K-12 at Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie. $20 per person, including STEM Fest access plus a ticket to the April 5th Pelicans vs. Magic game.

LEGO Club: 10 –11 am. Ages 5-10 can build LEGO creations at the East Bank Regional Library. Younger siblings welcome!

Video Game Hour: 10 am – 11 am. All ages are welcome to play video games at the River Ridge Library. Registration Required.

STEM Saturday: 10 am – NOON. Ages 6-11 can participate in STEM activities at the Lakeshore Library.

NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival: March 28 from 10 am – 12:30 pm. Arts, crafts, games, face painting, egg hunt, and more in the Sydney & Walda Biestnoff Sculpture Garden. Cost – $25 per person.

Easter Bunny at Lakeside Shopping Center: Now through April 4. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm, and Sunday, NOON – 6 pm. Walk-ins welcome, but you can also make reservations. Prices start at $40.45.

Party for the Planet: 10 am – 2 pm. Plantarium shows, hands-on activities, live music, and more at the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center. FREE

Ranger Ramblers: 11 am. Guided explorations on the boardwalks and trails for all ages at the Audubon Nature Center.

What are you doing this weekend?

About Kidsports Summer Camp

Throughout the summer, campers enjoy up to 12 weeks of action-packed fun filled with games, pickleball, basketball, swimming, arts and crafts, and exciting weekly field trips. Each day is thoughtfully planned to keep kids active, engaged, and having fun.

Water safety and skill-building are key parts of the experience. Campers can enjoy free swim or participate in structured swim lessons focused on proper technique and building lifelong swimming skills. Families receive weekly swim reports to track progress and development.

Camp Dates: May 18 – August 6, 2026
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Extended care available from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Ages: 5–12
Pricing: 4-week packages available for June and July. Daily rates available for the weeks of May 18 and August 7. Ochsner employee and member rates are available.
