There is so much to do this weekend from Lenten Fish Frys to a fair at the Shrine on Airline to story times! There is even a puppy parade in Mandeville on Saturday if you want to take a mini road trip! Here’s all the fun happening in Jefferson Parish and beyond this weekend, February 27-March 1, 2026.

Lenten Fish Frys

St. Anthony – Lafitte: Lunch 11-1 pm. Dinner 4-7 pm. Shrimp, fish, or combo $15 – served with red/white beans (alternating weekly) or fries, French bread, and dessert.

Rummel’s Fishing Club Fish Fri: 3 until sold out. $15 fish or shrimp. Drive thru only.

St. Jerome Knight of Columbus: 4-7 pm. Fried Fish $12, Fried Shrimp or Combo $13. Grilled Fish $13, Grilled Shrimp or Combo $15. Served with fries, salad, and bread. Grilled shrimp salad $14. 3310 Florida Ave., Kenner.

Patriot Nation Men’s Club: 5 pm. $15 Fish, shrimp, or combo plates includes smashed potatoes, corn, and bread. Drive thru only. John Curtis Lower School Campus – River Ridge.

St. Rita Dad’s Club Fish Fry: 5-8 pm. Dine or drive thru and grab a plate of fish or shrimp or both with boiled potatoes, corn, and a brownie. They will also have cheese pizza and a brownie. St. Rita’s School in Harahan.

Westwego Fire Dept Fish Fry: 5-8 pm. Fish plate $12, shrimp $14, combo plate $15. Comes with fries or mac and cheese, salad, vegatable and a Little Debbie Snack Cake at the Westwego Fire Dept. (677 Avenue H – Upstairs). Call ahead, dine in, or carry out – 504.341.1196

Visitation of Our Lady – Mararro: 5 – 8 pm: Seafood summer includes fish and shrimp poboys and dinners, plus other specialty plates. Prices range from $11 to $ 17. Dine in or take out.

Lenten Fry-Day: 5 – 8 pm. 3600 Claire Ave., Grenta. $11 fish plate or poboy, $ 12 shrimp plate or poboy, $16 oyster plate or poboy – served with salad and choice of fries or white beans.

St. Ann School: 5:30-7:30 pm. $12 Fried fish, shrimp, or combo plate or blacked fish plate served with cajun potatoes, salad, and fries. Also $12 for a fried or blackened shrimp salad. Mac and cheese is $3, and 2 slices of cheese pizza are $5.

St. Edward the Confessor Fish Fry: 5:30-7:30 pm. $14 Fish or Shrimp plate, $15 combo plate. Drive-thru, take-out, or dine in.

St. Clement of Rome Men’s Club Fish Fry: 5:30 – 8 pm. $15 Fried Catfish, $16 Fried Shrimp, $15 Combo, $15 Crawfish Riley (pasta with Creole crawfish cream sauce) – all served with fries, coleslaw, and bread. Cheese pizza slices $3. Dine in or drive thru.

St. Christopher Men’s Club Fish Fry: 5:30 until sold out. Fish or shrimp $14, combo $15 – served with corn, cajun potatoes, salad, and bread. Drive thru only.

St. Francis Xavier School: 6-8 pm. Fried fish, potatoes, slaw, and bread – adults $15, children $10. Seafood gumbo $10. Cheese pizza slices $2.

Storytime: 10:30 – 11:30 am for ages 0-5 at the Rosedale Library.

Community Garden Work Hour: 11 am – NOON. Everyone is invited to help work in the first ever community garden at the Terrytown Library.

Snowflake Craft: 3:30 – 4:30 pm. Ages 0-11 can make a snowflake craft at the Lafitte Library.

NOLA Night Market: 5-10 pm. Celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse at the Westwego Farmers Market

Thrillville Fair: Opens at 5 pm. Rides, games, food, and a circus in the parking lot of the Shrine on Airline. Admission is $10 per person, and unlimited ride bands are $35.

Teen Take Over Night: 6-9 pm. Live music, art activies and more at NOMA for teens! FREE, but registration is encouraged.

ACT Practice Test: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. Westbank Regional Library. Registration Required.

Soccer Shots Spring Kick Off: 10 am – NOON. Face painting, crafts, bubbly party, and learn more about soccer shots. FREE. City Park Field 18 – 1011 Harrison Ave, New Orleans. Registration requested.

Arts Market New Orleans in City Park: 10 am – 4 pm. Local artists, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and more at the Popp Bandstand Corridor between Cafe Du Monde and Standly Ray Playground.

Storytime at the WWII Museum: 10 – 10:20 am. Families can listen to The Bracelet and make friendship bracelets.

Saturday Craft: 10 – 10:30 am. Children can come make a craft in the Children’s Activity Room at the East Bank Regional Library. First come, first served.

LEGO Club: 10 –11 am. Ages 5-10 can build LEGO creations at the East Bank Regional Library. Younger siblings welcome!

Video Game Hour: 10 – 11 am. Ages 6-18 can play video games at the River Ridge Library. Registration Required.

STEM Saturdays: 10 am – NOON. Ages 6-11 can play STEM games and enjoy STEM activities at the Lakeshore Library.

LEGO Club: 10 am – NOON. Ages 0-11 can create with LEGO at the Wagner Library.

St. Patrick’s Charm Bracelet: 10:30 – 11:30 am. Children ages 6-11 can make a St. Patrick’s Day Charm Bracelet at the Harahan Library. Registration Required.

Spring Cupcake Decorating for Tweens: 11 am – NOON. Decorate spring-themed cupcakes with a hands-on decorating class with Delgado Culinary Arts Chef Alex Hanmam. Nora Navra Library (1902 St. Bernard Ave, New Orleans).

Reading to Rabbits: 11 am – NOON. Ages 5 and up with a parent can learn about bunnies and practice reading skills by reading to them at the Belle Terre Library.

Krewe du Pooch Goes to Howlywood: 11 am – 4:30 pm. Celebrate one more Mardi Gras parade for the pups in Mandeville at Krewe du Pooch! Block party starts at 11, parade at noon, and the fun continues until 4:30 with live music, costume contests, and more at the Mandeville Trailhead.

Ranger Ramblers: 11 am. Guided explorations on the boardwalks and trails for all ages at the Audubon Nature Center.

Family Garden Walks: 11 – 11:45 am. Walk through the gardens with native plant specialist and gardener Chris Booth. Included in garden admission.

Story with Craft: 11 am – NOON. Storytime and craft for ages 3-7 at the Gretna Library.

Free Play LEGO Day: 2 – 3 pm. Ages 0-11 can get creative and build with LEGO at the Westbank Regional Library.

Perler Beads: 2 – 3:30 pm. Make pizel perfect perler bead art. Open to everyone, but children under 11 need adult supervision. Westwego Library.

NOLA Night Market: 2-9 pm. Celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse at the Westwego Farmers Market

2026 Great Gumbalaya Cookoff: 4:30-8:30. All you can taste gumbo, jambalya and Fetch Feast plus live music at St. Angela of Mercy School. Adults $22, Kids $12, 5 and under: FREE.

Monster Jam: 7pm. Everyone’s favorite Monster Trucks will be in the Superdome, Saturday night! Purchase tickets!

Ohlmeyer Family Pancake Breakfast: 9:45 – 11:30 am. Pancake breakfast to benefit the family of Officer Ohlmeyer, who was killed in action a few weeks ago. $10 per plate. St. Matthew the Apostle, Jefferson Hwy, River Ridge.

Terrytown Farmers Market: 10 am – 2 pm. 1785 Carol Sue, Gretna – Terry Town Country Club.

Easter Bunny Photo Pop Up: 10 am – 2 pm. $50 – Take pictures with rescue bunnies at Jefferson Feed on Jefferson Hwy. $50 – supports Jefferson SPCA and BunnAgain Rabbit Rescue and Education.

Pony Tales – Open Barn: 10:30 am – 12:20 pm. Meet horses, ponies, goats, and chickens. FREE entry. Extra charge for horse and pony rides. Closed-toe shoes required.

Confetti Kids Friendship Day Parade. 11:30 am. Confetti Park (451 Pelican Ave, New Orleans). Follow the bagpipes from Confetti Park to Old Point to celebrate Friendship Day.

Afternoon Craft: All Day. Ages 3 and up can create crafts at the West Bank Regional Library, while supplies last.
