It’s the last weekend before summer break begins, and graduation weekend in our house. My 17 year old graduates high school on Saturday, which means I have somehow successfully homeschooled two children. Go me! As far as what is going on this weekend, there is Party for the Planet at the Audubon Zoo, the Asian Heritage Festival at Lafreniere Park, and Reading to Rover at the East Bank Regional Library (the 7-year-old is a HUGE fan of this activity). Here’s everything you can do with kids in Jefferson Parish and beyond this weekend (May 15-17, 2026).
