This weekend starts with more Lenten Fish Frys and ends with catching cabbage and other veggies! If parades aren’t your thing, NOLA Book Fest is going on all weekend at Tulane University with Family Day on Sunday, Disney’s Frozen the Musical is going on at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center, and the Jefferson Parish Park 2 Park 10k/5k Race is Saturday morning! Plus storytimes, farmers markets, and more fun this weekend, March 13-15, 2026, in Jefferson Parish.

Lenten Fish Frys

St. Anthony – Lafitte: Lunch 11-1 pm. Dinner 4-7 pm. Shrimp, fish, or combo $15 – served with red/white beans (alternating weekly) or fries, French bread, and dessert.

Westwego Fire Dept Fish Fry: Lunch 11 am – 1 pm. Seafood gumbo includes potato salad, corn, roll, and Little Debbie Snack Cake $13; with fish $15; fish plate includes fries, salad, corn, and roll. Dinner 5-8 pm. Fish plate $12, shrimp $14, combo plate $15. Comes with fries or mac and cheese, salad, vegatable and a Little Debbie Snack Cake at the Westwego Fire Dept. (677 Avenue H – Upstairs). Lenten Fry-Day: 5 – 8 pm. 3600 Claire Ave., Grenta. $11 fish plate or poboy, $ 12 shrimp plate or poboy, $16 oyster plate or poboy – served with salad and choice of fries or white beans.

St. Philip Neri: 5 – 7:30 pm. Drive thru only. Adult plate – fried catfish, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and bread $15. Child plate – fried catfish, macaroni and cheese, and bread.

St. Rita Dad’s Club Fish Fry: 5-8 pm. Dine or drive thru and grab a plate of fish or shrimp or both with boiled potatoes, corn, and a brownie. They will also have cheese pizza and a brownie. St. Rita’s School in Harahan

St. Angela Merici: 5 – 8 pm. Drive thru – Adult fish plate $12; Child fish plate $10. Dine In – Adult fish plate (2 filets, fries, coleslaw, and bread) $12; child fish plate (1 filet, fries, coleslaw, and bread). Grilled fish plate (2 filets, green beans, coleslaw, and bread). Troop 100 Fish Fry Fundraiser: 5:30 – 8 pm. Support Boy Scout Troop 100 at the St. Pius X Cafeteria.

St. Ann School: 5:30-7:30 pm. $12 Fried fish, shrimp, or combo plate or blacked fish plate served with cajun potatoes, salad, and fries. Also $12 for a fried or blackened shrimp salad. Mac and cheese is $3, and 2 slices of cheese pizza are $5.

St. Clement of Rome Men’s Club Fish Fry: 5:30 – 8 pm. $15 Fried Catfish, $16 Fried Shrimp, $15 Combo, $15 Crawfish Riley (pasta with Creole crawfish cream sauce) – all served with fries, coleslaw, and bread. Cheese pizza slices $3. Dine in or drive thru.

St. Christopher Men’s Club Fish Fry: 5:30 until sold out. Fish or shrimp $14, combo $15 – served with corn, cajun potatoes, salad, and bread. Drive thru only.

St. Francis Xavier School: 6-8 pm. Fried fish, potatoes, slaw, and bread – adults $15, children $10. Seafood gumbo $10. Cheese pizza slices $2.

Gretna Elks Lodge: 6:30 – 8:15 pm. Fried or grilled shrimp or fish on a bun $13.50. Fried or grilled shrimp or fish plate with fries and a side salad $16. 900 Monroe St., Gretna.

Easter Bunny at Lakeside Shopping Center: Now through April 4. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm, and Sunday, NOON – 6 pm. Walk-ins welcome, but you can also make reservations. Prices start at $40.45.

Cottontail Trail Train: Now through April 19. Kids can ride the train in the center court for $2 per ride (cash only). Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm, and Sunday, NOON – 6 pm.

Rosedale Storytime: 10:30 – 11:30 am for ages 0-5 at the Rosedale Library.

Community Garden Work Hour: 11 am – NOON. Everyone is invited to help work in the first-ever community garden at the Terrytown Library.

Leprechaun Craft: 3:30 – 4:30 pm. Ages 0-11 can make a Leprechaun craft at the Lafitte Library.

Meet the Savanah Bananas and Party Animals: 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Meet your favorite players, get autographs, gear, and have some fun at Academy Sports and Outdoors in Harahan.

Jefferson Parish Park 2 Park 10K/5K: Race from Lasalle Park to Lafrienere Park with a post-race bash that includes live music, food, and refreshments. The first race starts at 7:30 am. Visit the race website for more information and to sign up.

LEGO Club: 10 –11 am. Ages 5-10 can build LEGO creations at the East Bank Regional Library. Younger siblings welcome!

Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 1:00 pm. It starts on the corner of Napoleon Ave & Tchoupitoulas.

University of Holy Cross Crawfish Cookoff: 1 – 5 pm. Taste some delicious crawfish while supporting the school! Tickets are $25 in advance and $40 at the gate. 4223 Woodland Dr., New Orleans.

STEM Saturday – Slime Time: 1 -2 pm. Everyone is welcome to make slime at the River Ridge Library.

Family Day at New Orleans Book Fest: 10 am. Tulane University – Fogelman Arena and Field House. Families can spend the day interacting with their favorite authors, listening to stories, and more family-friendly fun. Shuttles will be provided at both the Jefferson Parish East Bank and Westbank Regional Libraries – pick up times is 9:30 and 11 am, return times are 1 and 3 pm.

Terrytown Farmers Market: 10 am – 2 pm. 1785 Carol Sue, Gretna – Terry Town Country Club.

Uptown Super Sunday: Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 11 am. See the Mardi Gras Indians parade starting at Al Davis Park.

Metairie Road St. Patrick’s Parade: Sunday, March 15, 2026, at NOON. It starts in front of Rummel High School, goes down Severn Avenue to Metairie Road, then Metairie Road to the parish line.

Bridge City Fire Department Easter Pop-Up Market: March 15 from Noon to 4 pm. Spring and Easter shopping event with local vendors, handmade goods, treats, gifts, and more.

Afternoon Craft: 12 – 12:30 pm. Ages 3 and up can create Paper Bag Leprechauns at the West Bank Regional Library, while supplies last.
