We started in September 2013, merged with Pint-Sized NOLA in 2018, and paused during COVID. Now we are back stronger than ever and ready to serve the Jefferson Parish community once again.
Meet Our Founder
Jefferson Parish Parent was founded by Cara Keating.
Cara is a Florida native and a New Orleans girl rolled into one. Born in Florida, she grew up in New Orleans, spent summers in Clearwater, and lived in Pensacola and Apopka before returning to New Orleans. She currently lives in Metairie.
She’s a mom of two (24 and 17) and a bonus mom of an adorable 7-year-old, and fur momma to Jax and Pixie. She’s a travel planner with Magical Destinations Travel and loves helping others plan their dream vacations. She’s also a full-time college student finishing her elementary education degree (yes, at 49).
When she’s not in school or planning trips, you can find her binge-watching cult documentaries, watching TikTok, and dreaming about trips to Walt Disney World.
