March 1: Confetti Kids Friendship Parade
11:30 am. Confetti Park (451 Pelican Ave, New Orleans). Follow the bagpipes from Confetti Park to Old Point to celebrate Friendship Day.
March 2: Bingo Preschool Edition
5-6 pm. Preschoolers can play alphabetet and beginning sounds bingo at the Mid-City Library.
March 3: Homeschool Hour-Axolotl
2-3 pm. Homeschoolers age 6-11 can learning about the axolotl lifecycle and make an axolotl out of polymer clay at the East Bank Regional Library. Registration Requested.
March 4: Lafrienere Farmers and Art Market
1-6 pm. Support local vendors at the Lafreniere Farmers and Art Market every Wednesday at Lafreniere Park.
March 5: Kiddos First Ballet Class
12-12:30 pm. Intro to Ballet class for children ages 3-5 at the Terrytown Library. The parent must accompany the dancer, and ballet shoes will be provided.
March 6: Johnette Downing Music Program
11 am. Families can enjoy a culturally immersive presentation from musician and author Johnette Downing in Dutch Alley (915 N. Peters, New Orleans).
March 7: Easter Bunny Arrival Celebration
9 am. Welcome the Easter Bunny to Lakeside Shopping Center with a parade, treats, games, crafts, and more. Cost is $25 per family of 5.
March 8: Gretna Italian-Irish Parade
NOON. The parade starts at Franklin and Burmaster and ends at Huey P Long Ave and 4th Street. There is an after-party under the Market with live music.

6:30-7:30 pm. Children 8-18 can play video games at the River Ridge Library.

1:00 pm. It starts on the corner of Napoleon Ave & Tchoupitoulas.
March 15: Metairie Road St. Patrick’s Parade
NOON. It starts in front of Rummel High School, goes down Severn Avenue to Metairie Road, then Metairie Road to the parish line.
March 16: Sing Along Story Time
3:30-4:30 pm. Learning and fun with a licensed music therapist at the Wagner Library for ages 0-5. Registration Required.
March 17: Homeschool Hour – POTATO!
2-3 pm. Homeschoolers ages 6-11 can make potato art, potato goo, and more at the East Bank Regional Library. Registration requested.
March 18: City Park Botanical Gardens:
Louisiana residents with a valid ID can enter for free on Wednesdays. Let the kids roam the gardens and explore the Historic New Orleans Train Garden.
March 19: The Market at Kenner City Park
1-6 pm. Inside the Kenner Pavilion.
March 20: Community Garden Work Hour
11 am – NOON. Everyone is invited to help work in the first-ever community garden at the Terrytown Library.
March 21: Family Free Day – Ogden Museum of Southern Art

NOON. Follows the traditional Veterans Blvd route but does not turn down Bonnabel.

7 pm. Join Mickey and Friends at Mickey’s Search Party, where you’ll see adventures filled with

March 27: Easter Basket Craft
3:30-4:30 pm. Children ages 0-11 can make an Easter Basket Craft at the Lafitte Library.
March 28: East Jefferson YMCA Crawfish Cookoff
11:30 am – 2:30 pm. Crawfish cookoff, live music, kid zone, craft market, and more to support the YMCA youth programs, healthy living activities, and outreach. $20 for general admission and $10 for children ages 10 and under. Purchase tickets.
March 29: Harahan Farmers Market
9 am – 1 pm. 10th St., Harahan
