Easy Biscuit Beignet Bites

A quick, easy beignet recipe anyone can make!

Ingredients

  • Canned Biscuits (the cheap ones work the best)
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a large frying pan. I pour just enough so the biscuits float without touching the bottom of the pan.
  2. While the oil is heating, cut each biscuit in half.
  3. Gently place the biscuit halves in the hot oil. They will begin to brown within seconds. Once the first side has browned, flip them over to fully cook the other side.
  4. Once both sides are brown, remove the beignets from the oil. I usually put them on a plate with a napkin to help absorb any excess grease.
  5. Once all of your biscuit halves, aka beignets, are cooked, cover them in powdered sugar.
